NORTHFIELD GOP ENDORSES MUKHERJEE FOR ILLINOIS CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 10 IN THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Glenview, IL --- Mother of two, Valerie Ramirez Mukherjee received the endorsement of Northfield Township Republican Organization today.

“Because Val’s priority is to foster the conditions that will help to reverse the ongoing exodus of people and businesses from the district and state, Northfield GOP will support her in her efforts,” committeeman T.J. Brown said. “Val points out that- ‘District 10 has terrific advantages’ and our region ‘should be a global commercial and residential magnet’ (with geography near Chicago, the third-largest US city, multi-modal infrastructure, great schools, and an affordable cost of living)- yet people are leaving. ‘Illinois’ exodus continues due to fiscal mismanagement, rising taxes, and an unfriendly business climate.’ She hopes to ‘diversify and attract new economy jobs, improve educational outcomes, and reduce the tax burden’.”

Mukherjee remarked, “I am not a career politician. I am a fiscally conservative, socially moderate, “purple” Republican. I believe deeply in opportunity for all, the freedom of choice, personal responsibility and the rule of law. Like many across the country, I am alarmed by the current state of hyper-partisanship and non-performance in politics. Issues I encountered 25 years ago as a young political staffer - healthcare, immigration, and the exploding national debt remain unresolved, and have only magnified. In contrast, the private sector continues to disrupt, innovate and thrive. Politics as usual needs to change. I believe I have the aptitude and ability to disrupt this status quo and fix the dissonance in politics and be an agent of change, which is why I am running for office.”

Valerie Ramirez Mukherjee (Republican Party) is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 10th Congressional District against incumbent Brad Schneider (D). She is on the ballot in the general election on November 3, 2020 and advanced from the Republican primary on March 17, 2020.
